Scholarship
In line with AKAM’s goal of fostering a new generation of service-oriented physicians, the AKAM Scholarship Committee has the pleasure of offering medical students currently matriculated in an American Medical School (allopathic or osteopathic) the opportunity to apply for the title of AKAM Scholar and a scholarship sum of $10,000 US dollars divided over 2 years. The AKAM Scholarship Committee will be selecting individuals who either demonstrated their significant positive impact on the Korean-American medical community and/or general Korean community or their potential to serve as a leader and pillar for the Korean-American medical community and/or general Korean community.

- Currently matriculated medical student in good standing at an American Medical School (allopathic or osteopathic)
- Active AKAM Student Membership Status – Applicants may register for Student Membership Status free of charge
- 3. Applications will be reviewed after the deadline as opposed to on a rolling basis.
Preference will be given to candidates likely to establish themselves in the New York / New Jersey area.

1. Induction ceremony as AKAM Scholar at annual AKAM Gala
2. Mentorship by AKAM leadership
3. Serve as mentors for succeeding AKAM Scholars
4. Be a part of our supportive community and join our events!
